The Very Reverend Dr. Stephen P. Natsis is pastor of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 937 Chase Parkway
in Waterbury, Connecticut and is Protopresbyter of the Holy Archdiocese of America under the Ecumenical
Patriarchate of Constantinople since 1986.
Father Natsis was born in Webster, Massachusetts and attended the local schools where he graduated with honors.
Upon graduation from high school, he was called by a higher authority to enter the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox
Theological School in Brookline, MA where he graduated with honors and was awarded a B.D. (Bachelor of
Divinity). After his graduation, he continued his education and received a Master of Divinity from St. Anthony's
Seminary in Rensselaear, NY and then earned his Doctorate of Divinity at St. Vladimir Seminary
He was ordained at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Seminary Chapel by the Archbishop and was assigned Pastor of All
Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Weirton, WV. His next assignment was at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church
in Albany, NY where he remained for twelve years. At that time, Archbishop Iakovos assigned him to Holy Trinity
Greek Orthodox Church in Waterbury, CT where he still serves.
Fr. Stephen is the President of the Greek Orthodox Clergy in the State of Connecticut and serves on the Pastoral
Care group of both Waterbury and St. Mary's hospitals. He also participates in the Ecumenical Services of Greater
Waterbury and the F.O.C.C., the Fellowship of Orthodox Christian Churches in Connecticut. He serves Greek
Orthodox Christians from the areas of Winsted, Seymour, Oxford, Southington, Plainville, Southbury, Beacon
Falls, Bethlehem, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Plymouth, Prospect, Thomaston, Watertown, Woodbury and
Wolcott as well as those in Waterbury.
Father Stephen is married to Presvetera Diane and they have two daughters, Sophia and Maria. Both daughters are
married and have two children each, a boy and a girl. Both Sophia and Maria are professional school teachers and
have Bachelors degrees as well as a Masters in Education.
